Over the period under review, the exports of attained the maximum at X square meters in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, exports of boards, sheets, panels, tiles and similar articles of plaster not faced contracted to $X in 2021. In general, exports saw a perceptible shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 18%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2016 to 2021, the growth of the exports of remained at a somewhat lower figure.

The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Australia (+6.7% per year) and Japan (-11.4% per year).

Overall, imports showed a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 67% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X square meters in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs at $X per square meter in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($X per square meter), while Taiwan (Chinese) ($X per square meter) was amongst the lowest.
