In value terms, South Korea ($X) emerged as the largest calcium ammonium nitrate (CAN) supplier in Asia-Pacific, comprising 58% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by China ($X), with a 23% share of total exports. It was followed by Hong Kong SAR, with a 2.4% share.

In 2021, calcium ammonium nitrate (can) imports in Asia-Pacific amounted to X tons, with an increase of 1.8% on the previous year. In general, imports showed prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when imports increased by 42% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Import Prices by Country
The import price in Asia-Pacific stood at $X per ton in 2021, rising by 34% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a slight slump. Over the period under review, import prices attained the peak figure at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, major importing countries recorded the following prices: in Taiwan (Chinese) ($X per ton) and Sri Lanka ($X per ton), while Thailand ($X per ton) and Timor-Leste ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Sri Lanka (-0.3%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
