As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons, and then dropped dramatically in the following year.
In value terms, dolomite exports dropped to $X in 2021. Total exports indicated a temperate increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +2.3% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +80.7% against 2016 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 61%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X, and then dropped in the following year.
Exports by Country
China (X tons), Thailand (X tons) and the Philippines (X tons) represented roughly 89% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by South Korea (X tons), constituting a 6.8% share of total exports. India (X tons) held a relatively small share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for India (with a CAGR of +15.9%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, China ($X) emerged as the largest dolomite supplier in Asia-Pacific, comprising 40% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Thailand ($X), with a 17% share of total exports. It was followed by South Korea, with a 12% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in China totaled +2.0%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Thailand (+0.0% per year) and South Korea (+12.4% per year).

The export price in Asia-Pacific stood at $X per ton in 2021, surging by 33% against the previous year. Over the last nine-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.6%. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the maximum at $X per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was India ($X per ton), while the Philippines ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Korea (+2.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Dolomite imports skyrocketed to X tons in 2021, rising by 24% compared with 2020. Total imports indicated measured growth from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.1% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -2.8% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 56%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the key importing countries, was attained by Indonesia (with a CAGR of +76.4%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, China ($X), India ($X) and Japan ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021, with a combined 86% share of total imports. Taiwan (Chinese) and Indonesia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 8.4%.
Indonesia, with a CAGR of +35.9%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Asia-Pacific stood at $X per ton in 2021, with an increase of 16% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a noticeable curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 23%. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
