Hong Kong SAR was also the fastest-growing in terms of the cherries exports, with a CAGR of +26.1% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, New Zealand (+17.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. The export price in Asia-Pacific stood at $X per ton in 2022, increasing by 22% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.6%. It was distantly followed by Hong Kong SAR (X tons), committing a 35% share of total imports. The following importers - South Korea (X tons) and Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons) - each amounted to a 3.6% share of total imports.

In value terms, China ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported cherries in Asia-Pacific, comprising 62% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Hong Kong SAR ($X), with a 30% share of total imports. It was followed by South Korea, with a 2.6% share.
In China, cherry imports expanded at an average annual rate of +24.6% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Hong Kong SAR (+18.4% per year) and South Korea (+3.5% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the import price in Asia-Pacific amounted to $X per ton, increasing by 14% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern.
