The export price in Asia-Pacific stood at $X per ton in 2022, increasing by 6.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a pronounced contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 13%. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, the largest clays for construction and industrial use importing markets in Asia-Pacific were Indonesia ($X), Japan ($X) and China ($X), with a combined 52% share of total imports. South Korea, India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan (Chinese) and Malaysia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 42%.
