The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Exports by Country
China represented the main exporting country with an export of about X tons, which reached 49% of total exports. Vietnam (X tons) held a 16% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Thailand (12%), South Korea (9.6%) and Malaysia (9.2%).
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to copper tube and pipe exports from China stood at +4.0%. At the same time, Vietnam (+26.1%) and Thailand (+8.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Vietnam emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia-Pacific, with a CAGR of +26.1% from 2012-2021. Malaysia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. Imports in Asia-Pacific
Copper tube and pipe imports rose markedly to X tons in 2021, surging by 10% against the previous year's figure. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.4% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

India (X tons) and Thailand (X tons) represented roughly 39% of total imports in 2021. Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons) ranks next in terms of the total imports with an 8.2% share, followed by South Korea (8.1%), Malaysia (7.8%), China (7.7%), Japan (6.7%), Australia (5.2%) and Indonesia (5.1%).
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by India (with a CAGR of +14.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest copper tube and pipe importing markets in Asia-Pacific were India ($X), Thailand ($X) and China ($X), with a combined 46% share of total imports.
Among the main importing countries, India, with a CAGR of +14.7%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
