In 2022, China (X tons) and Afghanistan (X tons) represented the key exporters of marble and travertine in Asia-Pacific, together creating 73% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Pakistan (X tons), Vietnam (X tons) and India (X tons), together comprising a 22% share of total exports. Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons) took a little share of total exports.

Based on 2022 figures, marble and travertine crude export price increased by +86.7% against 2018 indices. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($X per ton), while Pakistan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 86%. Over the period under review, crude imports hit record highs at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, marble and travertine crude imports shrank remarkably to $X in 2022. Overall, imports recorded a abrupt descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 41%. The level of import peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

China was the largest importing country with an import of around X tons, which accounted for 72% of total imports. Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 14% share, followed by Pakistan (8.3%). Bangladesh (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
