Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

China was the largest exporting country with an export of around X units, which reached 41% of total exports. India (X units) took the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by New Zealand (X units). All these countries together held near 41% share of total exports. Singapore (X units), Japan (X units), Thailand (X units) and Taiwan (Chinese) (X units) took a little share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Thailand (with a CAGR of +19.6%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest dairy machinery supplying countries in Asia-Pacific were India ($X), New Zealand ($X) and China ($X), with a combined 81% share of total exports. Singapore, Japan, Taiwan (Chinese) and Thailand lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 13%.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was New Zealand ($X per unit), while China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

In 2022, supplies from abroad of dairy machinery was finally on the rise to reach X units after two years of decline. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a pronounced shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 60%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, dairy machinery imports reduced to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a mild downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 70%. In 2022, Indonesia (X units), distantly followed by Malaysia (X units), New Zealand (X units), Bangladesh (X units), India (X units), Australia (X units) and China (X units) represented the major importers of dairy machinery, together comprising 71% of total imports. Vietnam (X units), Japan (X units), the Philippines (X units), Sri Lanka (X units), South Korea (X units) and Nepal (X units) took a little share of total imports.

The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest dairy machinery importing markets in Asia-Pacific were Indonesia ($X), Malaysia ($X) and China ($X), together accounting for 45% of total imports.

Among the main importing countries, Malaysia, with a CAGR of +13.0%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
