Thailand (X cubic meters) and China (X cubic meters) prevails in exports structure, together creating 76% of total exports. New Zealand (X cubic meters) took the next position in the ranking, followed by Indonesia (X cubic meters) and Malaysia (X cubic meters). All these countries together took approx. 20% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Thailand (with a CAGR of +9.5%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest fiberboard supplying countries in Asia-Pacific were China ($X), Thailand ($X) and New Zealand ($X), with a combined 81% share of total exports. Malaysia and Indonesia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 12%.
Indonesia, with a CAGR of +10.3%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the export price increased by 10% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs at $X per cubic meter in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was China ($X per cubic meter), while Thailand ($X per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.

South Korea, India, Taiwan (Chinese), Indonesia, the Philippines and Malaysia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 31%.
Among the main importing countries, the Philippines, with a CAGR of +6.6%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the import price in Asia-Pacific amounted to $X per cubic meter, surging by 1.8% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a mild downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the import price increased by 10%.
