Vietnam (X tons) and South Korea (X tons) represented roughly 54% of total exports in 2022. Singapore (X tons) ranks next in terms of the total exports with a 7.4% share, followed by Taiwan (Chinese) (7%), China (5.8%), Indonesia (5.2%) and Cambodia (5.1%). Thailand (X tons) took a little share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Cambodia (with a CAGR of +58.4%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, China ($X), Vietnam ($X) and Thailand ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, with a combined 55% share of total exports. Indonesia, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan (Chinese) and Cambodia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 27%.
In terms of the main exporting countries, Cambodia, with a CAGR of +19.2%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the export price in Asia-Pacific amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 10% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 25% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by Thailand (with a CAGR of +18.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest inedible fish products importing markets in Asia-Pacific were Japan ($X), China ($X) and Thailand ($X), together comprising 45% of total imports. Taiwan (Chinese), South Korea, Australia and Singapore lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 21%.
