From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Singapore amounted to +19.0%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Japan (+5.6% per year) and China (+24.1% per year).

In 2022, the export price in Asia-Pacific amounted to $X per unit, increasing by 5.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 10%. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($X per unit), while China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Singapore (+8.5%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Imports in Asia-Pacific
In 2022, optical radiation instruments imports in Asia-Pacific was estimated at X units, surging by 4.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports saw a remarkable increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 19%. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, optical radiation instruments imports rose remarkably to $X in 2022. Overall, imports posted resilient growth. Imports into China increased at an average annual rate of +5.4% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Vietnam (+21.6%), Thailand (+18.5%), Singapore (+16.8%), Taiwan (Chinese) (+15.6%), India (+12.9%), Indonesia (+12.1%), South Korea (+10.8%), Australia (+7.5%), Hong Kong SAR (+4.2%) and Japan (+1.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Vietnam emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Asia-Pacific, with a CAGR of +21.6% from 2012-2022. While the share of Singapore (+5 p.p.), Taiwan (Chinese) (+3.1 p.p.), South Korea (+2.9 p.p.), Thailand (+2.2 p.p.), India (+2 p.p.) and Vietnam (+1.9 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of Hong Kong SAR (-1.8 p.p.), Japan (-5 p.p.) and China (-11.1 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, China ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported instruments using optical radiations in Asia-Pacific, comprising 48% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by South Korea ($X), with a 10% share of total imports. It was followed by Singapore, with a 10% share.
In China, optical radiation instruments imports expanded at an average annual rate of +9.5% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: South Korea (+8.8% per year) and Singapore (+20.8% per year).
