These countries were followed by Japan, India, Taiwan (Chinese), Singapore and Indonesia, which together accounted for a further 38%.

Taiwan (Chinese), with a CAGR of +20.9%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2021, the import price in Asia-Pacific amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 4.4% against the previous year. Over the last nine-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 6.7%. The level of import peaked in 2021 and is likely to see steady growth in the near future.
