The following exporters - Singapore (X units), Vietnam (X units) and Malaysia (X units) - together made up 7.5% of total exports.

Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +35.2% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, the Philippines (+162.3%), Vietnam (+55.7%) and Thailand (+47.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the Philippines emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia-Pacific, with a CAGR of +162.3% from 2012-2022. Singapore experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, South Korea (-7.0%) and Malaysia (-24.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of China (+59 p.p.), the Philippines (+10 p.p.), Thailand (+9.2 p.p.), South Korea (+2.9 p.p.), Vietnam (+2.6 p.p.) and Singapore (+2.2 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Malaysia (-7.3 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, the largest keyboard stringed instrument supplying countries in Asia-Pacific were the Philippines ($X), China ($X) and Vietnam ($X), together comprising 86% of total exports.

The Philippines, with a CAGR of +272.3%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

In 2022, the export price in Asia-Pacific amounted to $X per unit, rising by 62% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw buoyant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the export price increased by 97% against the previous year. The level of export peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($X per unit), while Thailand ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

In terms of the main importing countries, the Philippines, with a CAGR of +22.8%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2022, the import price in Asia-Pacific amounted to $X per unit, shrinking by -16.2% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a resilient increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the import price increased by 73%. Over the period under review, import prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2021, and then shrank rapidly in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($X per unit), while Fiji ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
