The biggest shipments were from India (X units), Malaysia (X units) and China (X units), together finishing at 75% of total export. South Korea (X units) ranks next in terms of the total exports with a 10% share, followed by Thailand (7.3%). Japan (X units) and Singapore (X units) held a minor share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Thailand (with a CAGR of +39.9%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest bitumen mixer supplier in Asia-Pacific, comprising 62% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by India ($X), with a 16% share of total exports. It was followed by South Korea, with a 9.5% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in China totaled -3.5%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: India (+7.1% per year) and South Korea (-7.2% per year).

The export price in Asia-Pacific stood at $X per unit in 2021, waning by -4% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 69%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2018 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was China ($X per unit), while Thailand ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Malaysia (+8.4%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the export price figures.

In value terms, bitumen mixer imports contracted to $X in 2021. In general, imports recorded a slight reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 122% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, the Philippines (X units), distantly followed by Myanmar (X units), Afghanistan (X units), Singapore (X units), Micronesia (X units), Thailand (X units) and Taiwan (Chinese) (X units) represented the main importers of machines for mixing mineral substances with bitumen, together making up 69% of total imports. The following importers - Cambodia (X units), Australia (X units), Malaysia (X units), Vietnam (X units), Indonesia (X units) and Hong Kong SAR (X units) - together made up 18% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Taiwan (Chinese) (with a CAGR of +59.6%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest bitumen mixer importing markets in Asia-Pacific were Thailand ($X), Australia ($X) and Vietnam ($X), with a combined 43% share of total imports. Taiwan (Chinese), Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Hong Kong SAR, the Philippines, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Singapore and Micronesia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 31%.
In terms of the main importing countries, Taiwan (Chinese), with a CAGR of +50.1%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Asia-Pacific stood at $X per unit in 2021, jumping by 96% against the previous year. In general, the import price enjoyed a modest expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the import price increased by 152%. The level of import peaked in 2021 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($X per unit), while Micronesia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Thailand (+33.3%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
