Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a drastic downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by 189%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, noils of wool imports soared to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, recorded a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 139% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. The import price in Asia-Pacific stood at $X per ton in 2021, declining by -5.9% against the previous year. Over the last nine years, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.7%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 28%. Over the period under review, import prices attained the peak figure at $X per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
