China (X tons) and South Korea (X tons) represented roughly 63% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Japan (X tons), Indonesia (X tons) and India (X tons), together mixing up a 33% share of total exports. Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for India (with a CAGR of +18.5%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.
In value terms, China ($X), South Korea ($X) and Japan ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021, with a combined 79% share of total exports. Indonesia, India and Taiwan (Chinese) lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 18%.
In terms of the main exporting countries, India, with a CAGR of +16.9%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the export price in Asia-Pacific amounted to $X per ton, growing by 11% against the previous year. In general, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 13% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the maximum in 2021 and is likely to see steady growth in years to come.
Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($X per ton), while India ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (+1.5%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest coated printing and writing paper importing markets in Asia-Pacific were China ($X), India ($X) and Vietnam ($X), with a combined 38% share of total imports.
