In value terms, pumps for liquids exports fell to $X in 2022. Total exports indicated buoyant growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +64.3% against 2012 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 24% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X, and then declined in the following year.
Exports by Country
China dominates exports structure, accounting for X units, which was near 94% of total exports in 2022. The following exporters - Japan (X units), Taiwan (Chinese) (X units) and India (X units) - each amounted to a 5.5% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to pumps for liquids exports from China stood at +9.8%. At the same time, India (+21.5%) and Taiwan (Chinese) (+10.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, India emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia-Pacific, with a CAGR of +21.5% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Japan (-7.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of China (+7.9 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Japan (-9 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest pumps for liquids supplier in Asia-Pacific, comprising 74% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Japan ($X), with a 9.3% share of total exports. It was followed by India, with a 5.2% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in China totaled +9.7%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Japan (-5.7% per year) and India (+4.9% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Asia-Pacific stood at $X per unit in 2022, with an increase of 9.6% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a perceptible downturn. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($X per unit), while China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Japan (+2.4%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Imports in Asia-Pacific
In 2022, the amount of pumps for liquids imported in Asia-Pacific stood at X units, growing by 2.6% against 2021. In general, imports saw strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 31%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, pumps for liquids imports rose modestly to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.4% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 29%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.
Imports by Country
The countries with the highest levels of pumps for liquids imports in 2022 were Japan (X units), China (X units) and Vietnam (X units), together reaching 43% of total import. Bangladesh (X units) took an 8% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Thailand (7.9%), India (7.1%), Malaysia (7%) and South Korea (5%). Australia (X units), Indonesia (X units), Hong Kong SAR (X units), Taiwan (Chinese) (X units) and Myanmar (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Hong Kong SAR (with a CAGR of +25.7%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, China ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported pumps for liquids in Asia-Pacific, comprising 31% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Indonesia ($X), with an 8% share of total imports. It was followed by Vietnam, with a 7% share.
In China, pumps for liquids imports expanded at an average annual rate of +3.2% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Indonesia (+5.9% per year) and Vietnam (+9.2% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the import price in Asia-Pacific amounted to $X per unit, remaining constant against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a noticeable slump.
