In value terms, exports of PVC floor, wall and ceiling coverings shrank to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, enjoyed a remarkable increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 30% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X, and then fell in the following year.

Exports by Country

China dominates coverings structure, amounting to X square meters, which was near 87% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by South Korea (X square meters), comprising a 6.5% share of total exports. Vietnam (X square meters) and Taiwan (Chinese) (X square meters) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to PVC floor, wall and ceiling coverings exports from China stood at +18.5%. At the same time, Vietnam (+34.6%), Taiwan (Chinese) (+11.1%) and South Korea (+7.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Vietnam emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia-Pacific, with a CAGR of +34.6% from 2012-2022. In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest PVC floor, wall and ceiling coverings supplier in Asia-Pacific, comprising 79% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by South Korea ($X), with a 10% share of total exports. It was followed by Vietnam, with a 5.7% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in China amounted to +17.2%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: South Korea (+8.8% per year) and Vietnam (+39.5% per year).

In general, imports, however, posted a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 25%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X square meters, leveling off in the following year.
