Taiwan (Chinese) (X units) took an 8.1% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Malaysia (5.9%) and South Korea (5.4%). The following exporters - Japan (X units), Singapore (X units) and Vietnam (X units) - together made up 9% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to radar apparatus exports from China stood at +17.1%. At the same time, Vietnam (+26.9%), Malaysia (+15.5%), Singapore (+13.6%) and South Korea (+3.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest radar apparatus supplier in Asia-Pacific, comprising 39% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Singapore ($X), with a 12% share of total exports. It was followed by Taiwan (Chinese), with an 8% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in China totaled +2.7%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Singapore (+18.4% per year) and Taiwan (Chinese) (-4.8% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the export price in Asia-Pacific amounted to $X per unit, declining by -12.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a perceptible curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when the export price increased by 22% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2017 to 2022, the export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($X per unit), while China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Singapore (+4.3%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
