In 2021, China (X tons) represented the major exporter of rubber tubing not reinforced, mixing up 53% of total exports. Thailand (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a 14% share, followed by Malaysia (8.8%) and Japan (8.3%). India (X tons), South Korea (X tons) and Hong Kong SAR (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, India (+8.9%), South Korea (+5.7%) and Hong Kong SAR (+5.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, India emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia-Pacific, with a CAGR of +8.9% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Malaysia (-1.7%), Thailand (-1.8%) and Japan (-6.1%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of China (+15 p.p.) and India (+1.7 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of Malaysia (-3.2 p.p.), Thailand (-5.3 p.p.) and Japan (-8.8 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the largest non-reinforced rubber tubing supplying countries in Asia-Pacific were China ($X), Japan ($X) and Thailand ($X), with a combined 79% share of total exports. Malaysia, South Korea, India and Hong Kong SAR lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 15%.
Among the main exporting countries, India, with a CAGR of +18.3%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price in Asia-Pacific stood at $X per ton in 2021, picking up by 6.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the peak figure at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($X per ton), while Malaysia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2021, China (X tons), Japan (X tons), Vietnam (X tons), Hong Kong SAR (X tons), Thailand (X tons), Indonesia (X tons), South Korea (X tons), India (X tons), Malaysia (X tons), Singapore (X tons), the Philippines (X tons) and Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons) represented the largest importer of rubber tubing not reinforced in Asia-Pacific, creating 86% of total import.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by the Philippines (with a CAGR of +15.3%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, China ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported rubber tubing not reinforced in Asia-Pacific, comprising 33% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Japan ($X), with a 14% share of total imports. It was followed by Vietnam, with a 7.4% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in China was relatively modest. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Japan (+0.4% per year) and Vietnam (+1.4% per year).
