The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, copper sanitary ware imports soared to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, Australia (X tons), distantly followed by Indonesia (X tons), India (X tons), Thailand (X tons) and Japan (X tons) were the main importers of sanitary ware and parts of copper, together creating 66% of total imports.
