In 2021, supplies from abroad of seeders, planters, transplanters increased by 1.4% to X units, rising for the second consecutive year after three years of decline. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 27%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, seeder and planter imports totaled $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, saw a deep downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 14% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

South Korea was the largest importing country with an import of around X units, which reached 89% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Taiwan (Chinese) (X units), mixing up an 11% share of total imports.
