Moreover, Taiwan (Chinese) emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia-Pacific, with a CAGR of +6.3% from 2012-2021. While the share of China (+2 p.p.) increased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest skis and its equipment and skates supplier in Asia-Pacific, comprising 85% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Taiwan (Chinese) ($X), with a 6.3% share of total exports.

By contrast, South Korea (-1.0%), Hong Kong SAR (-8.2%) and Japan (-9.5%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Indonesia, Thailand, Australia, India and Vietnam increased by +20, +6, +4, +1.9 and +1.6 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest skis and its equipment and skates importing markets in Asia-Pacific were Japan ($X), China ($X) and Australia ($X), together comprising 51% of total imports. South Korea, Hong Kong SAR, New Zealand, Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan (Chinese), Vietnam, Thailand, India and Malaysia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 47%.
