The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the export price increased by 10%. Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Singapore ($X per ton), while South Korea ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.4% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, sulphonamides imports fell to $X in 2021. Total imports indicated modest growth from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.5% over the last nine years. From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for China (with a CAGR of +16.1%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, China ($X), Japan ($X) and South Korea ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021, with a combined 75% share of total imports.
In terms of the main importing countries, China, with a CAGR of +15.4%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in Asia-Pacific amounted to $X per ton, which is down by -25% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a noticeable decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 32% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2020 to 2021, the import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Japan ($X per ton), while Indonesia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
