China prevails in exports structure, reaching X tons, which was approx. 84% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Vietnam (X tons), making up a 7.5% share of total exports. The following exporters - India (X tons), Indonesia (X tons) and Thailand (X tons) - together made up 6.8% of total exports.
Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +7.1% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Indonesia (+28.4%), India (+22.7%), Vietnam (+13.3%) and Thailand (+3.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Indonesia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia-Pacific, with a CAGR of +28.4% from 2012-2021. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Vietnam, India and Indonesia increased by +2.8, +1.8 and +1.7 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest wood kitchenware and tableware supplier in Asia-Pacific, comprising 81% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Vietnam ($X), with a 6.7% share of total exports. It was followed by India, with a 4% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in China stood at +12.8%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Vietnam (+11.2% per year) and India (+32.6% per year).

In 2021, the export price in Asia-Pacific amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 15% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +4.4%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was India ($X per ton), while Vietnam ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+8.1%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.6% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 12%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

China (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by South Korea (X tons), Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons), Australia (X tons) and Thailand (X tons). All these countries together held approx. 51% share of total imports. India (X tons) took a little share of total imports.
Japan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of imports of tableware and kitchenware of wood. At the same time, India (+35.2%), Thailand (+14.2%), South Korea (+9.4%), Australia (+8.8%), China (+8.2%) and Taiwan (Chinese) (+2.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. The second position in the ranking was taken by Australia ($X), with a 15% share of total imports. It was followed by South Korea, with a 14% share.
In Japan, wood kitchenware and tableware imports remained relatively stable over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Australia (+16.6% per year) and South Korea (+16.9% per year).
