The second position in the ranking was held by India ($X), with a 14% share of total exports. It was followed by Thailand, with a 4.5% share.
In China, exports of tiles, flagstones and similar articles of cement, concrete or artificial stone increased at an average annual rate of +25.1% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: India (+40.6% per year) and Thailand (+23.2% per year).

In value terms, Malaysia ($X), South Korea ($X) and China ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021, together accounting for 49% of total imports.
Malaysia, with a CAGR of +45.9%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Asia-Pacific stood at $X per ton in 2021, surging by 13% against the previous year. Import price indicated notable growth from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.7% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, import price for tiles, flagstones and similar articles of cement, concrete or artificial stone increased by +70.0% against 2017 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the import price increased by 20%. The level of import peaked in 2021 and is likely to continue growth in years to come.
