In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest toilet and kitchen linen supplier in Asia-Pacific, comprising 49% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Pakistan ($X), with a 20% share of total exports. It was followed by India, with a 20% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in China stood at -1.1%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Pakistan (+3.6% per year) and India (+4.6% per year).

Moreover, Thailand emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Asia-Pacific, with a CAGR of +18.0% from 2012-2021. South Korea and New Zealand experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Malaysia (-2.4%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Thailand (+12 p.p.), Australia (+3 p.p.) and China (+1.7 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of Japan (-13.9 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Japan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported toilet and kitchen linen in Asia-Pacific, comprising 53% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Australia ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by Malaysia, with a 7.5% share.
In Japan, toilet and kitchen linen imports plunged by an average annual rate of -3.8% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Australia (+3.7% per year) and Malaysia (-0.4% per year).
