In value terms, Thailand ($X) remains the largest vegetable puree supplier in Asia-Pacific, comprising 51% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Australia ($X), with a 13% share of total exports. It was followed by Malaysia, with a 9.1% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Thailand stood at -8.7%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Australia (-10.1% per year) and Malaysia (+66.3% per year).

The export price in Asia-Pacific stood at $X per ton in 2022, waning by -6.7% against the previous year. Export price indicated a noticeable increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Among the main importing countries, Cambodia, with a CAGR of +52.2%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

The import price in Asia-Pacific stood at $X per ton in 2022, which is down by -18.3% against the previous year. Import price indicated a notable expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 15% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2021, and then shrank notably in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($X per ton), while Cambodia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
