Export Prices by Country
The export price in Asia-Pacific stood at $X per cubic meter in 2021, approximately mirroring the previous year. Export price indicated a buoyant expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +7.3% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. In value terms, wooden particle board imports surged to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.8% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 26% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
China (X cubic meters) and Malaysia (X cubic meters) prevails in imports structure, together achieving 77% of total imports. Vietnam (X cubic meters) took the next position in the ranking, followed by Taiwan (Chinese) (X cubic meters). All these countries together held approx. 9.6% share of total imports. Cambodia (X cubic meters), New Zealand (X cubic meters) and Australia (X cubic meters) took a little share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by New Zealand (with a CAGR of +44.5%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, China ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported wooden particle board in Asia-Pacific, comprising 51% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Malaysia ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by Vietnam, with a 7.1% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in China amounted to -1.4%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Malaysia (+17.7% per year) and Vietnam (+30.2% per year).

As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
