In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest plastic doors and windows supplier in Asia, comprising 54% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Turkey ($X), with a 25% share of total exports. It was followed by Taiwan (Chinese), with a 9.7% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in China stood at +6.0%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Turkey (+0.4% per year) and Taiwan (Chinese) (+1.8% per year).

After two years of growth, supplies from abroad of plastic doors, windows and their frames decreased by -7% to X units in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 23% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2021, and then reduced in the following year.

In value terms, plastic doors and windows imports fell to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.3% from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 27%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then dropped modestly in the following year.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when the import price increased by 14%. Over the period under review, import prices reached the peak figure in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
