The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when exports increased by 95%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, plum and sloe exports reached $X in 2022. Overall, exports saw a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 64%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Total imports indicated a strong increase from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 41% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, plum and sloe imports surged to $X in 2022. Overall, imports enjoyed a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 39% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
