The United Arab Emirates (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a 12% share, followed by Iran (10%), South Korea (9.6%), Thailand (8.1%) and Singapore (7.9%). Malaysia (X tons), Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons) and Japan (X tons) took a minor share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to polyethylene in primary forms exports from Saudi Arabia stood at +1.5%. At the same time, the United Arab Emirates (+10.5%), Malaysia (+5.0%), Iran (+4.9%), Taiwan (Chinese) (+3.0%), Japan (+2.9%), South Korea (+2.0%) and Singapore (+1.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 19%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2020, and then reduced in the following year.
