The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Japan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported preserved asparagus in Asia, comprising 60% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by the United Arab Emirates ($X), with an 8.7% share of total imports. It was followed by Indonesia, with a 6% share.
In Japan, preserved asparagus imports declined by an average annual rate of -6.1% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: the United Arab Emirates (+9.5% per year) and Indonesia (-9.0% per year).
