China dominates exports structure, amounting to X units, which was approx. 62% of total exports in 2022. Taiwan (Chinese) (X units) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Malaysia (X units) and South Korea (X units). All these countries together took near 19% share of total exports. The following exporters - Japan (X units), Israel (X units), Singapore (X units) and Vietnam (X units) - together made up 11% of total exports.
Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +17.1% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Israel (+38.0%), Vietnam (+26.9%), Malaysia (+15.5%), Singapore (+13.6%) and South Korea (+3.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Israel emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia, with a CAGR of +38.0% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Taiwan (Chinese) (-7.0%) and Japan (-11.1%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. China (+41 p.p.), Malaysia (+3.5 p.p.), Israel (+2.5 p.p.) and Vietnam (+1.7 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Japan and Taiwan (Chinese) saw its share reduced by -18% and -19.4% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest radar apparatus supplier in Asia, comprising 36% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Singapore ($X), with an 11% share of total exports. It was followed by Taiwan (Chinese), with a 7.5% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in China stood at +2.7%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Singapore (+18.4% per year) and Taiwan (Chinese) (-4.8% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Asia stood at $X per unit in 2022, reducing by -13.1% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a pronounced decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 20% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2017 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($X per unit), while China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Singapore (+4.3%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Radar apparatus imports expanded sharply to X units in 2022, picking up by 5.2% against the previous year's figure. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.5% over the period from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period. Singapore, India, Turkey, Indonesia, Hong Kong SAR, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and Taiwan (Chinese) lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 30%.
In terms of the main importing countries, India, with a CAGR of +26.6%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the import price in Asia amounted to $X per unit, leveling off at the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.2%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when the import price increased by 17% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was India ($X per unit), while Taiwan (Chinese) ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Indonesia (+15.5%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
