Moreover, Thailand emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia, with a CAGR of +180.0% from 2012-2022. By contrast, China (-20.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Turkey (+23 p.p.), Myanmar (+9.4 p.p.) and Thailand (+1.9 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of China (-14.8 p.p.) and India (-22.1 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, India ($X) remains the largest sorghum supplier in Asia, comprising 58% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Turkey ($X), with a 16% share of total exports. It was followed by China, with an 11% share.

In India, sorghum exports decreased by an average annual rate of -9.9% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Turkey (+114.4% per year) and China (-15.5% per year).
