In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest metal threading machine supplier in Asia, comprising 43% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Taiwan (Chinese) ($X), with an 11% share of total exports. It was followed by Japan, with a 10% share.

In China, metal threading machine exports increased at an average annual rate of +12.0% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Taiwan (Chinese) (-14.7% per year) and Japan (-20.9% per year).

From 2012 to 2021, the share of Turkey, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates and Singapore increased by +22, +6.1, +4.4, +4.4, +2.3, +2 and +1.7 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Turkey ($X), India ($X) and Malaysia ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021, with a combined 39% share of total imports.
