New Zealand (X units), the United States (X units) and the UK (X units) were the main destinations of agricultural appliance exports from Australia, with a combined 60% share of total exports. South Africa, Italy, Papua New Guinea, Japan, Israel, Indonesia, Mexico, Kenya, Canada and Thailand lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 28%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Mexico (with a CAGR of +40.5%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, New Zealand ($X), the United States ($X) and the UK ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for agricultural appliance exported from Australia worldwide, with a combined 60% share of total exports. These countries were followed by South Africa, Italy, Papua New Guinea, Japan, Israel, Indonesia, Mexico, Kenya, Canada and Thailand, which together accounted for a further 28%.
Kenya, with a CAGR of +24.1%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the average agricultural appliance export price amounted to $X per unit, rising by 13% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated pronounced growth from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.6% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, agricultural appliance export price increased by +33.0% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 43% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In 2021, the highest price was recorded for prices to Mexico ($X per unit) and Indonesia ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Italy ($X per unit) and the UK ($X per unit) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to New Zealand (+6.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Australia
In 2021, the amount of agricultural appliances imported into Australia skyrocketed to X units, increasing by 23% against the year before. Overall, total imports indicated a notable expansion from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.3% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +32.3% against 2017 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 64% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, China (X units) constituted the largest agricultural appliance supplier to Australia, accounting for a 44% share of total imports. The third position in this ranking was held by the United States (X units), with a 19% share.

In terms of the main suppliers, the Dominican Republic, with a CAGR of +28.8%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The average agricultural appliance import price stood at $X per unit in 2021, with an increase of 6.5% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, faced a abrupt shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average import price increased by 20% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per unit), while the price for India ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
