After two years of growth, overseas purchases of non-electric air heaters or hot air distributors decreased by -26.7% to X units in 2022. In general, imports showed a noticeable downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 42% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, non-electric air heater imports fell significantly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports recorded a perceptible setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 46%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then declined notably in the following year.

China (X units), New Zealand (X units) and Japan (X units) were the main suppliers of non-electric air heater imports to Australia, with a combined 70% share of total imports. Germany, the United States, Latvia and Slovakia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 22%.
