In value terms, New Zealand ($X) remains the largest spacecraft supplier in Australia and Oceania, comprising 91% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Australia ($X), with an 8.7% share of total exports.
In New Zealand, spacecraft exports expanded at an average annual rate of +375.8% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Australia (+41.8% per year) and Fiji (0.0% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Australia and Oceania stood at $X per unit in 2022, increasing by 338% against the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 1,066%. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

Solomon Islands dominates imports structure, finishing at X units, which was near 87% of total imports in 2022. Tonga (X units) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Papua New Guinea (X units). All these countries together took near 11% share of total imports.
Solomon Islands was also the fastest-growing in terms of the civil spacecraft, satellites and launch vehicles imports, with a CAGR of +54.3% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Tonga (+35.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Papua New Guinea (-25.3%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Solomon Islands (+86 p.p.) and Tonga (+6.2 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Papua New Guinea saw its share reduced by -88.5% from 2012 to 2022, respectively.
In value terms, Solomon Islands ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported civil spacecraft, satellites and launch vehicles in Australia and Oceania, comprising 1.1% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Tonga ($X), with a 0.1% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Solomon Islands amounted to +81.2%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Tonga (+10.4% per year) and Papua New Guinea (-28.9% per year).
