As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
Australia was the largest importer of furniture of plastic in Australia and Oceania, with the volume of imports recording X units, which was approx. 80% of total imports in 2021. It was distantly followed by New Zealand (X units), comprising a 13% share of total imports. Papua New Guinea (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to plastic furniture imports into Australia stood at -3.7%. At the same time, Papua New Guinea (+6.8%) and New Zealand (+3.8%) displayed positive paces of growth.
