The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 39% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
Australia (X units) and New Zealand (X units) prevails in exports structure, together constituting 87% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Fiji (X units), creating an 8.5% share of total exports. The following exporters - Micronesia (X units) and New Caledonia (X units) - each reached a 3.8% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for New Caledonia (with a CAGR of +19.3%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.
In value terms, Australia ($X), New Zealand ($X) and Fiji ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, with a combined 98% share of total exports. New Caledonia and Micronesia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 1.9%.
Among the main exporting countries, New Caledonia, with a CAGR of +16.4%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 21%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
In value terms, non-combined refrigerator-freezer imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a prominent increase. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
Australia was the main importer of household refrigerators and freezers (not combined) in Australia and Oceania, with the volume of imports accounting for X units, which was near 77% of total imports in 2022. It was distantly followed by New Zealand (X units), achieving a 14% share of total imports. Fiji (X units) and Papua New Guinea (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
