After two years of growth, purchases abroad of photographic flashbulbs and flashcubes decreased by -8% to X units in 2021. Overall, imports recorded a pronounced descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 41%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, photographic flashbulb imports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded strong growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

New Zealand (X units) and Australia (X units) prevails in imports structure, together creating 87% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Palau (X units), constituting a 5.8% share of total imports. The following importers - Samoa (X units) and Fiji (X units) - each finished at a 4% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Samoa (with a CAGR of +91.6%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Australia ($X), New Zealand ($X) and Palau ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021, together accounting for 98% of total imports. Fiji and Samoa lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 0.6%.
Samoa, with a CAGR of +43.5%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Australia and Oceania stood at $X per unit in 2021, growing by 65% against the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate a prominent expansion. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Australia ($X per unit), while Samoa ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
