Australia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of exports of prepared mustard. Australia (+2.7 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Australia ($X) also remains the largest prepared mustard supplier in Australia and Oceania.

Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of 20% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, prepared mustard imports reached $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 17% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
Australia represented the main importing country with an import of about X tons, which finished at 62% of total imports. It was distantly followed by New Zealand (X tons), making up a 30% share of total imports. New Caledonia (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Australia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of imports of prepared mustard. At the same time, New Zealand (+1.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, New Zealand emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Australia and Oceania, with a CAGR of +1.0% from 2012-2021. By contrast, New Caledonia (-1.3%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Australia (+3.6 p.p.) and New Zealand (+3.4 p.p.) increased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Australia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported prepared mustard in Australia and Oceania, comprising 65% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by New Zealand ($X), with a 30% share of total imports.
In Australia, prepared mustard imports increased at an average annual rate of +1.5% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: New Zealand (+1.7% per year) and New Caledonia (-5.1% per year).
Import Prices by Country
