Australia represented the key importing country with an import of about X tons, which resulted at 56% of total imports. It was distantly followed by New Zealand (X tons), constituting a 15% share of total imports. In value terms, Australia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported prepared or preserved meat or offal of bovine animals in Australia and Oceania, comprising 60% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by New Zealand ($X), with a 9.7% share of total imports. It was followed by New Caledonia, with a 3.5% share.
In Australia, preserved cows meat imports increased at an average annual rate of +7.4% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: New Zealand (-8.0% per year) and New Caledonia (+6.2% per year).
