Imports of uncoated mechanical printing and writing papers fell rapidly to X tons in 2021, dropping by -29.5% on the previous year. Over the period under review, imports showed a abrupt setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when imports increased by 16%. Over the period under review, imports of hit record highs at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, imports of uncoated mechanical printing and writing papers contracted notably to $X in 2021. Overall, imports recorded a drastic downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 18% against the previous year.
