In 2021, overseas shipments of pumps for liquids and liquid elevators increased by 14% to X units, rising for the fourth consecutive year after three years of decline. Overall, exports posted a buoyant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when exports increased by 66% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, pump for liquid exports soared to $X in 2021. In general, exports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

Australia represented the largest exporter of pumps for liquids and liquid elevators in Australia and Oceania, with the volume of exports resulting at X units, which was near 73% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by New Zealand (X units), achieving a 27% share of total exports.

Exports from Australia increased at an average annual rate of +5.7% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, New Zealand (+6.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, New Zealand emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Australia and Oceania, with a CAGR of +6.9% from 2012-2021. While the share of New Zealand (+2.5 p.p.) increased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Australia ($X) remains the largest pump for liquid supplier in Australia and Oceania, comprising 85% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by New Zealand ($X), with a 14% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Australia totaled -1.0%.

Export Prices by Country

In 2021, the export price in Australia and Oceania amounted to $X per unit, picking up by 22% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a abrupt shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 an increase of 33% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Australia ($X per unit), while New Zealand totaled $X per unit.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by New Zealand (-5.5%).

In 2021, after nine years of growth, there was significant decline in supplies from abroad of pumps for liquids and liquid elevators, when their volume decreased by -16.5% to X units. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 63% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units, and then fell remarkably in the following year.

In value terms, pump for liquid imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, Australia (X units) was the largest importer of pumps for liquids and liquid elevators, making up 86% of total imports. It was distantly followed by New Zealand (X units), committing a 14% share of total imports.
