The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 48%. The level of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in years to come.

Australia (X cubic meters) and New Zealand (X cubic meters) represented roughly 86% of total imports in 2022. It was distantly followed by French Polynesia (X cubic meters), constituting a 13% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for French Polynesia (with a CAGR of +13.7%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced a decline in the imports figures.
In value terms, Australia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported rare gases (excluding argon) in Australia and Oceania, comprising 79% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by New Zealand ($X), with a 16% share of total imports.
