In value terms, commercial refrigeration equipment exports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Australia was the main exporting country with an export of around X units, which resulted at 64% of total exports. It was distantly followed by New Zealand (X units), comprising a 34% share of total exports.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 86%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, commercial refrigeration equipment imports soared to $X in 2021. Total imports indicated a strong expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.2% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +12.0% against 2016 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 54% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
