In value terms, Australia ($X) remains the largest virgin olive oil supplier in Australia and Oceania, comprising 96% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by New Zealand ($X), with a 4.1% share of total exports.

In 2022, the export price in Australia and Oceania amounted to $X per ton, declining by -10.5% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.2%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 52% against the previous year. While the share of New Zealand (+1.5 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of Australia (-4.3 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Australia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported virgin olive oil in Australia and Oceania, comprising 83% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by New Zealand ($X), with a 12% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Australia amounted to +4.0%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: New Zealand (+6.4% per year) and New Caledonia (+10.4% per year).
