New Zealand (X tons) took a 25% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Papua New Guinea (6.8%). Fiji (X tons) took a minor share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to wrapping papers imports into Australia stood at -4.6%. At the same time, Papua New Guinea (+22.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. The second position in the ranking was taken by New Zealand ($X), with a 26% share of total imports. It was followed by Papua New Guinea, with a 6.4% share.
In Australia, wrapping papers imports plunged by an average annual rate of -3.4% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: New Zealand (-0.5% per year) and Papua New Guinea (+24.2% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Australia and Oceania stood at $X per ton in 2021, surging by 13% against the previous year. Over the last nine years, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.8%.
